Membership Information
The Wiarton & District Curling Club runs three 7- or 6-week schedules of league curling per season, tentatively as follows:
Schedule 1: Begins the week of November 4, 2011, for a length of 7 weeks
Schedule 2: Begins the week of January 2, 2012, for a length of 7 weeks.
Schedule 3: Begins the week of February 20, 2012, for a length of 6 weeks.
Upon registration, members may choose from the following leagues:

Intended for new curlers to try the sport and learn the fundamentals. We are offering this program on the evenings of the last Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday before league curling starts. One or two sheets may also be available to any member who wishes to practice throwing rocks. |
Note: As a member, you will be assigned to a specific team for each league you enter. Your team will curl together until the end of the schedule, after which new teams will be formed. For example, if you curl Tuesday mornings and Friday nights in all three schedules, you will curl with six different teams throughout the season. The exception to this rule is the Skip's Choice league, in which members enter as pre-arranged teams, which stay together for as long as they wish.

13% HST is included in all fees listed above.
Work Cheques
A separate $100 work cheque postdated to February 1, 2012 must be included with your registration (one cheque per person, please). This cheque will not be cashed and will be destroyed if you fulfill your work duties before the end of the season. For more information on work duties, please see the work cheque page.
Deadline to register is October 15, 2011 after which a $20 late fee will apply. You may still register after this date, however we will not be able to guarantee placement on a team for the first schedule. If there is no space on a team, you will be eligible to curl as a spare.
